•1932 July 9: Highly commended for solo war pipes at the Tailteann Games, Croke Park Dublin
•1933 July 15: 87 marks for solo war pipes at a Scots Gathering and Highland Games at Morecambe and Heysham in Lancashire
•1934 April 22: Very highly commended (i.e. 3rd) for Irish dancing: Senior Slip Jig, Father Mathew Feis
•1934 Aprl 25: First prize for solo war pipes at Father Mathew Feis on 22 April 1934 in Cork: awarded full marks
•1933: Munster Open Championship winner in solo war pipes, Killarney
•1935 May 3: First prize for solo war pipes (84/100) at the Father Mathew Feis
•1937: First prize for solo war pipes Kilcorney Feis, Co. Cork
•1938 July 22: Second prize for Operatic Soprano Solo (82/100) at the Father Mathew Feis
•1961 Dijon Festival: Folk Dance Group of the Cork Ballet Company win the Bronze Collar for Dancing, Production and Parade
•1965 Dijon Festival: Folk Dance Group of the Cork Ballet Company come 2nd and 3rd for Production and Parade
•1972 Jan 6: The Showcase Award
•1974: Donation by Dame Ninette de Valois to Moriarty of half her Erasmus Prize money for the newly founded Irish Ballet   Company
•1975: The Publicity Club of Ireland Award
•1979 April 5: Honorary Doctorate from the National University of Ireland (together with her relative, Anthony T. Lucas, director of the National Museum)
•1979: Silver Medallion of the Irish American Cultural Institute for the Playboy of the Western World at the Lincoln Center, New York
•1980: Catholic Women of the Year Award
•1980 Nov 15: The Mallow Hall of Fame Award
•1981 August: Award of $10,000 by the Irish American Cultural Institute to assist the production of The Táin ballet
