A week long celebration of talks and exhibition of bibles was held in Douglas Library during the last week of November.

Student Art Exhibition

This is an exhibition Art Work by students of St. Francis College, Rochestown. The Exhibition is an eclectic mix of styles and forms and is on display in the Library's On The Wall Exhibition area for the month of January.

Douglas hosts Getting Started with Computers

Computer Certificates Awarded

Lord Mayor of Cork Cllr. John Buttimer visited Douglas Library in May. During his visit he presented certificates to a Getting Started Computer Class who had just completed their beginners course. Classes are held in the Library regularly and are given by volunteer tutors from Age Action Ireland. The class are pictured with the Lord Mayor , their tutors and Julie Oates, Regional Co-Ordinator of Age Action Getting Started

Members of the Ciorcal Comhrá at their last meeting before the summer break. The conversational Irish group will be back in September. Open to all the Ciorcal is a great way to have a chat in Irish and great fun. Try it out you will be very welcome!

It was an enthusiastic bunch who took part in a Summer Camp with Judy Chalmers in early July, in one of a series of workshops held over the summer months in Cork City Libraries. They had a great time with fun drama and story telling and a host of other activities. The camp was facilitated by Judy Chalmers
