Interlibrary loans

In March 2009, due to inadequate resources, Cork City Libraries withdrew from the service, which had been set up to provide free loans between public libraries in Ireland.

Members may avail of our Interlibrary Loan service to borrow items from other libraries in Ireland or abroad, which are not in the system.  Forms for this service are available from Lending department staff at a non-refundable charge of €8 per requested item (price in 2009).

As well as ordering items from external libraries, any lending item in stock throughout our own network of libraries can be ordered free of charge, for collection at a library of your choice, within our system.
