Irish Performing Arts Festival - Include 2016 

Blackpool Library are hosting an art exhibition from the Glasheen Art Studio Programme (G.A.S.P.) artists, as part of the Irish Performing Arts Festival - Include 2016.  The exhibition also includes competitions for children.  The exhibition continues until 2 July.

Cork Lifelong Learning Festival


 Blackpool Library celebrated Cork Lifelong Learning Festival with an arts and crafts exhibition by community arts and crafts groups across the north side of the city and is organised by Cork City Partnership.

Blackpool Library hosted The Cathedral HSCL Cluster annual exhibition during the Cork Lifelong Learning Festival.  The art work is based on 2 books: Lost and Found by Oliver Jeffers and Guns of Easter by Gerard Whelan.  A great opportunity to see the work of local schools.

Cork Heritage Project- St. Vincent's Primary School


Blackpool Library recently hosted an exhibition by the students of St. Vincent's Primary school, St. Mary's Road.  This beautiful exhibition featured 3-D models of Cork-related subjects.  The models were created for The Cork Heritage Project.

Time to Read


Time to Read is an established paired reading programme between the business community and local primary schools, under the administration of BITC (Business in the Community).  Scoil Mhuire Fatima and Scoil Áiseirí Chríost took part this year and were assisted by volunteers from Ervia.  A  visit to Blackpool Library was included in their scheduled programme.
