Bishopstown Art Group

Meeting every Monday between 2.30 p.m. and 5.00 p.m. Bishopstowns Art Group is supportive collection of like minded artist. No formal tuition takes place but rather a communal gathering where artist can work on the art together.

Knit & Knatter

Why not bring your wool and needles along to Knit & Knatter. Meeting every Tuesday between 10.30 a.m. and 1.00 p.m. Whether your looking to improve your skills or a complete novice, you'll find a helping hand at Knit & Knatter.

Wilton Writers

The Wilton Writers meet every Tuesday from 3.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. Improve your creative writing in a supportive environment. 

Adult Chess Club

Make your move and improve your strategy every Wednesday from 2.30pm. Our Adult Chess Club welcomes players at all levels. There are no fees and chess boards and sets are supplied.

Active Retirement

Active Retirement Ireland is a national network of over 500 local Active Retirement Associations with over 23,000 members. ARI believes that older people have the right to be full and participative members of our society. ARI combats ageism through the reality and everyday work of the self-organised local associations and the regional councils.
They meet on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Tuesday's of the month at 2.30 p.m. and on the 4th Tuesday at 10.30 pm. A second group meets every Friday at 2.30 p.m. For more information on active retirement check out their website: http://www.activeirl.ie/

Wilton Gramophone Circle

The Circle will hold recitals on the fourth Thursday of the month. A wide selection of music will be played to cater for all moods and styles, everyone is welcome and admission is free. The programme starts at 3.00pm and runs until approximately 4.30pm.

Caint is Cómhrá

 Caint is Comhrá is Bishopstown Library's resident Irish conversational group. They meet every Thursday night between 6.00 p.m. and 7.45 p.m. The atmosphere is informal and the group is suitable for Irish speakers of all levels.

BT Writers

A creative writing group which meet on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month from 6.00 p.m. and 7.45 p.m.

Lucky Dip Club

A bookclub with a difference! Members chose their own book and chat informally about books and authors. There are opportunities to attend book launches, trips and visits to places of literary interest. This vibrant and active group meets on the first Friday of every month from 11.00 a.m.-1.00 p.m. 

Bishopstown Toastmasters

Bishopstown Toastmasters meet every Saturday, from 11.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. Through the medium of Toastmasters, men and women from all walks of life develop their personal skills and this is turn helps to develop the community overall.
